RACES
Within the world of Aestros, there are four humanoid races that populate the the planet, not counting halflings. Halflings, mixed breeds of different races, are covered at the bottom of the page. As expected, please read up on the races you choose to mix if you pick a halfling.
While not necessary to consider when creating your character, the most common races to find within the confines of Adanac are in order as follows: Torrans (least rare), Goliaths (found more North), Qua'si (unless of Earth, most are immigrants), Magi (dwindling population), and Halflings.

Halflings
Halflings are the offspring of parents of two differing races or subraces. They inherit aspects of both parents, for better or worse. Lifespans vary depending on the parents, but you can decipher that by finding the average of the two (i.e. Torran-Goliath Halfling, 70+250 /2 =160 estimated lifespan.
Culture
As expected of halflings, try to think of them as mixed race families in our modern times. Commonly they'd learn aspects of both cultures, but in some cases, especially dependent on where they were raised, halflings will lean toward the lifestyle of one of their parent's racial background more.
Torran Halflings
Due to the hardy nature yet adaptability of the Torrans, it is most likely to see any halfling with Torran blood to find their cultural background follow along with that race. A lot of other races within Aestros are more well suited for travel, but only the insatiable curiosity and unmatched stubbornness of the Torrans resulted in their spread across the world. And of course, the spread of their... ahem, genes.Torrans are more friendly with any race, even with some friction again Qua'si, so they are more oft the parent to accept a mixed race child.
Goliath Halflings
Goliaths have an extremely powerful gene, down to they slow reproductivity. This means it's a bit more difficult for other races to attempt to conceive with them, but when they do, the birthing is large, painful, and stony process. Halflings with Goliath blood inherit strength from this bloodline, as well as patches of rocky skin.
Keep in note that a Goliath and Magi cannot create offspring. The anti-magic and faemagic of the two races will produce nothing but a stillborn.
Qua'si Halflings
As a proud race, it's less common to expect Qua'si to intermingle with others. While not unheard of for Qua'si to breed with Qua'si of other elements, these races are typically deigned to remain within their affinities. A Qua'si halfling can gain physical aspects from both parents, but rarely inherit more than one element, especially with the types of mana being mostly incompatible.
With other races, the resulting child will have some elemental aspect, and of course the pointed ears, although possibly shorter and rounder. Keep in mind that other Qua'si can notice enough minor aspects to recognize a halfling and are less accepting than other races.
